Matthew F. Coogle, Member
Matt was graduated from Baylor Law School and admitted to the State Bar of Kentucky in 1997. Matt joined Ackerson & Yann in 2002. He practices primarily in the area of business and commercial litigation, construction law and creditors’ rights. Matt has represented clients in state and federal courts, including jury and bench trials in a wide variety of matters including contract disputes, estate and trust litigation, property disputes and insurance coverage disputes. Matt has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings in a number of arbitration forums, including the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. Matt’s construction law experience includes claims under Kentucky’s Mechanic’s/Materialman’s Lien Statute, Delay claims, claims against sureties, as well as construction contract negotiation and drafting. He has also represented clients in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, including preference claims and other contested bankruptcy matters.
